Apple Planning to launch Bigger and Cheaper iPhones with Multiple Color – Reports

According to Reuters, Apple is “exploring launching iPhones with bigger screens, as well as cheaper models in a range of colors.” Sources said the plan is still under discussion. However, it highlight the pressure from Samsung electronics in smartphone market.

Apple is considering introducing at least two bigger iPhones – a 4.7-inch and a 5.7-inch screen – said sources. They also said Apple may launch cheaper iPhones with 5-6 colors. And it has discussed a price of $99 for cheaper iPhone. Apple abandoning the traditional slide to unlock may be a hint for transiting to the bigger screen.

Although Apple has released iPhone 5 with 4-inch screen to veer away Apple iPhone’s 3.5-inch screen, which is regarded by Jobs as “the perfect size for customers”. It still can’t be classified as “big screen” since Samsung published 4.8-inch Samsung Galaxy SIII, 5-inch Galaxy S IV and 5.5-inch Galaxy Note II. Also there are some other big screen smart phones like 4,7-inch HTC One, 4.5-inch Nokia Lumia 920, etc.

To launch the bigger screen iPhone is the¬†unprecedented breakthrough and challenge Apple will face. Though many people expecting a bigger screen of iPhone, there still a large number of users satisfy with the current iPhone’s screen. It is difficult to cater for all tastes. What do you think of the 4.7-inch or 5.7-inch bigger and cheaper iPhone in the future? Leave a comment to share your thoughts!
