How to update your Apple devices to iOS 6

Apple released its new mobile operating system iOS 6 with more than 200 features including new Map App, Siri, Facebook, Photo Stream, Pass Book, Face Time, etc. on Wednesday, September 19. Apple claims it is the world’s most advanced mobile operating system. It is said to apply to the new iPhone 5.

If you a iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPad 2, The New iPad or iPod touch (the fourth generation) user and you want to experience the new features of iOS 6, you should update your iOS devices to the latest iOS operating system iOS 6. There are two ways to update you devices. The new available way is over-the-air (OTA) update. That means you needn’t download the iSO install package but only updating based on your iOS 5. The other way is updated with iTunes.

OTA update is faster for its update in place. Launch the “Settings” app, then choose “General >Software Update”, you will get the detail info of update. Click “Check for Update” button, you will get the available update info, then click “Download and Update” button to finish the updating to iOS 6.
