Following Samsung, LG and other producer, Sony on Tuesday officially announce the release of 6.4-inch full display phablet – Sony Xperia Z Ultra, which is designed to compete with Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and other big screen mobile devices.
The Xperia Z Ultra features 6.4-inch full HD 1080p display and quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor. Now it is the fastest ARM architecture smartphone processor. Besides, the handset is also equipped with Adreno330 GPU, an 8-megapixel rear camera, 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, 16GB of internal storage and a microSD slot. And it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
The mobile device ships with solid metal frame and tempered glass back and front. According to Sony, the Xperia Z Ultra is very slim and light. It measures 6.5mm thick and weighs 180 grams. And the smartphone comes with the IPX5/8 and IP5X standards for dust and water-proofing.
There are also some other special features with Sony Xperia Z Ultra. It has Sony special IU and apps and provides the exclusive WALKMAN player, Clearaudio+ and xLOUD.
The Xperia Z Ultra will be available in black, purple and white colors from the third quarter. There is no info about the price till now.
